It is with heavy hearts that we remember Dr. Sterling, a beloved dentist, mentor and friend, who passed away in 2023. Dr. Sterling dedicated his life to the art of dentistry, transforming countless smiles and fostering a warm, welcoming environment in his practice. His compassion and commitment to patient care set the standard for excellence, while his joyous spirit brightened the lives of everyone he met.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Sterling was a pillar of the community, known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support of local initiatives. He touched the hearts of many and inspired those around him with his passion for helping others.
As we reflect on the legacy he built, we celebrate not just a skilled dentist but a remarkable human being whose impact will be felt for generations. Dr. Sterling may be gone, but his spirit will live on in our memories and in the smiles, he helped create. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Leigh Ellen – Office Manager
Welcome to our practice! I am one of the friendly faces at the front desk! It is important to me that each of you enjoys that feeling of ease and confidence in our office I have a passion for dentistry and LOVE to see the amazing smiles our patients leave with! I’ve been in the dental field for 16 years. I strive to treat every patient like family and am so thankful that I can say our entire team really goes above and beyond to give you the best care and treatment. I am happy to answer your questions, plan for appointments, help resolve concerns and make your visits positive. Dr. Whitworth is a fantastic doctor to work with, as he is highly skilled and fun to be around. I love the energy of our team that shares my primary goal which is to help you! I love relaxing at the beach, UGA football and spending quality family time.
Stephanie – Dental Assistant
I have been a certified dental assistant for 18 years. I have worked in various dental positions and my absolute favorite is as an appointment coordinator. Whether working in the clinic or now at the front office, I have always enjoyed making our patients’ dream smile a reality. My husband and I spend most of our free time between cheerleading competitions and the soccer field with our two children.
Shannon – Hygiene and Dental Assistant
I am from Marietta and moved to Covington when I married my college sweetheart. My husband grew up in Covington and teaches and coaches soccer at the high school he graduated from. Go Eagles!
I am a certified dental assistant. I have been working in the dental field for 10 years. I have 2 beautiful children, that always keep me busy no matter what. We love being outdoors with our children and dogs and LOVE Florida football. Go Gators!
Michelle – Dental Assistant
I have worked in the dental field for 16 years. I have been with CDP since 2015. My favorite part of what I do is that I get to be involved in changing people’s lives through their smiles. I enjoy outdoor activities with my husband, children and grandchildren. I love mountain biking, running, reading, and spending time with my family. I look forward to helping you enjoy your experience here at CDP!

I have been in the dental field for 22 years. I take pride in making smiles as beautiful and healthy as I can. I try to put patient’s best interests first and carefully educating them on how to keep their teeth a lifetime. My passion is giving quality oral health care and comfort to each of my patients.

I have been a dental hygienist for over 10 years. I love taking my dog Ava for a run, working out and bodybuilding. I love spending time outside and on the lake with my loved ones.
